“There are so many doors to open. I am impatient to begin.” — Charlie Gordon

On Saturday night, I joined a group of talented women photographers for Clickin Walk Vancouver 2017. We walked through Gastown, Chinatown and the edge of the Downtown Eastside. I was completely outside of my comfort zone as I usually shoot photos of my small people. But it was a really fun evening with some lovely ladies, a beautiful sunny evening and lots of inspiration all around us. I am so glad that I went . It was a good reminder to be be a “door opener” more often and step outside because there is beauty to be found almost everywhere.

Evening at the Beach

“Live your truth. Express your love. Share your enthusiasm. Take action towards your dreams. Walk your talk. Dance and sing to your music. Embrace your blessings. Make today worth remembering.”
― Steve Maraboli

Last week I attended a Celebration of Life for a friend’s mom who passed from cancer. The beautiful words spoken at the service painted the picture of a woman who seized life with both hands and truly shared joy where ever she went. So that night, we put homework & baths aside and headed to the beach for a picnic. The kids radiated happiness as they ran around on the beach. We bumped into a classmate from school and the kids all played until the sun went down. It was an evening that will be forever imprinted in our memories.

“Every time I stand before a beautiful beach, its waves seem to whisper to me: If you choose the simple things and find joy in nature’s simple treasures, life and living need not be so hard.”         ~ Psyche Roxas-Mendoza
